EpropNet Community Work

Winnie and i have been involved fulltime in doing community work upto 2 years ago. We sold our farm in Botha's Hill where we build a rural church and ran a mission reaching out to the community of Embo and Botha's Hill. We also had a rehab working with the destitute on the farm. Nearly 2 years ago God spoke to us to return to the city. i am back in business now and enjoy real estate work but will always continue doing community work. Below is some pictures where we have taken a bakkie load of clothing and some food parcel to a family in Embo. We have stayed in touch with Nelsewe and her family and our vision is to build them a 2 roomed house early next year. After i became a Christian my eyes opened to the needs of the poor and as Jesus have done so much for me i can only try and give and help where i can. All what we are doing here i can only Give Jesus the thanks as if it was not for Him i would not be helping those in need. We are not doing this to gain anything for ourselves but only to bring Glory to our Father in Heaven

We arrived in Embo with a bakkie load of clothing and food parcels

Every year we receive 100 beanies from a school in Hillcrest. We distribute these to children in need as a beanie will warm you up in the cold

We took some food parcels that we receive from the Container Ministry run by Dudley Thomson on the North Coast. Food parcels is made up by Dorcas Aid in Europe and send all over the world. The food parcel are mainly from Holland

When you see the joy on these little ones face it make it worth coming al the way to give out the food parcels

Winnie my wife outside the house where we visited that day

Myself with Nelsewe

He has his own small business whereby he fixes shoes and sell broken biscuits at school

Emmanual have just completed his own room that he build himself. He is in std 7 at the moment and determent to complete matric when he will turn 23. i am currently making a computer up for him.

Hopefully soon i will post some pictures of the 2 or 3 room house we are going to build here

When you see how these people live and we look at what we have you all of sudden realise how blessed we are.

Erik comes past my house with a trolley weekly collecting scrap metal. He has TB and sometimes brings a friend to push his trolley as he is to weak. i gave him a food parcel and a aircon. If he strips the aircon that normally could take him a whole day he will get R100 for it.

We just want to thank our Lord Jesus Christ for giving us the strength to help others in need Johan and Winnie Marais
